Targeting the education of the best undergraduates, ZJUSPH advocates a wide, deep, high-quality and innovative mode of education by adopting integrated medical courses and research-based learning methods. The core curriculum includes: Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Health Statistics, Epidemiology, Toxicology, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Nutrition & Food Hygiene, Infants & Children Health, Health Supervision, Social Medicine, and Health Services Management.

 

Our school implements a “solid foundation, wide knowledge, and streaming in the late period” expert training model that includes one and a half years of study of the major theoretical foundations, two years of study of the basics of medicine and professional theories in Public Health, and in the last one and a half years channels different professional directions according to the needs of the social and expert markets. Professional directions include Disease Control & Hygiene Surveillance, Health Care Management, General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Nutrition Medicine.

 

After five years of rigorous training, students will be high-level personnel, having comprehensively developed morality, wisdom, and aesthetics with a solid foundation in the basics of medicine and public health, along with basic and theoretical knowledge of Public Health and Preventive Medicine; they will be familiar with community health services and supervision, master basic research methods and skills, have certain working experience in the fields of Disease Control, Health Surveillance, Health Care Management, General Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Nutrition Medicine, and can be engaged in related occupations to conduct health care services and surveillance in institutions and in schools for teaching, and carry out research on Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
