Team member Li Jiameng won the "Best Oral Presentation" award in Lancet-CAMS conference held in CHENGDU

Team members from Center for Global Health, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, attended the fifth Lancet-CAMS Health Summit held in Chengdu, Sichuan on Oct. 19-20, 2019. The conference was co-hosted by Lancet and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and was sponsored by West China Hospital of Sichuan University.



During this Lancet-CAMS Health Summit, there were 9 sub-forums in total. It mainly covered the subjects of maternal and child health, psychological health, clinical practice, cancer, global health and the reform of Chinese medical system etc. All the invited participants presented their current ongoing research, including our team members Li Jiameng(project:Bullying in Chinese adolescents - prevalence, risk factors and psychosomatic symptoms: a three-province cross-sectional study)and Yuan Weiman(project: Intimate partner violence against women and its association with depression in three regions of China). Both of them performed very well in the presentation. Luckily, Jiameng won the award of“Best Oral Presentation” in this conference. 


This Health Summit showed important progress in the development of discipline and theoretical innovation in Chinese medical science in recent years. Meanwhile, the topics discussed at the conference would also help with the implementation of the ”Health China 2030” Plan and the new progress in China’s health care system reform.
