 Research interests:
1): the mechanism, prevention and diagnosis research of obesity, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and other related chronic diseases
2): the injury mechanism, prevention, surveillance system, and epidemiology research

The Obesity and Body Composition Research Center (OBRC) of Zhejiang University School of Public Health was founded in 2008, and is the first institution devoted to the study of obesity and body composition in China. Through basic, clinical and epidemiological studies about obesity, body composition, and obesity-related diseases such as metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and diabetes, our research area lies in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and prevention of obesity and obesity-related chronic diseases with the aim of improving people’s health. In addition, the center will host the Ninth International Symposium on In Vivo Body composition Studies in May, 2011, which is the first time of this conference series to be held in Asia.
The Injury Control Research Center (ICRC) of Zhejiang University School of Public Health was established in 2007. This is a multidiscipline and training center which covers the areas of epidemiology, emergency medicine, computer simulation, and engineering. ICRC has established a good relationship with not various Chinese government departments and research institutions, but also many injury research centers abroad. The center is currently trying to develop a model of injury surveillance system in China to prevent people from road traffic injury.
